Women in nautica19.10.2024.

Last week, we participated in the "Women in Nautica" conference, which was an exceptional opportunity to reflect on the growing influence of women in the nautical sector, a field that has long been predominantly male. The conference brought together leading female experts from various areas of the nautical industry, from engineering and shipbuilding to management and maritime law, who shared their experiences and the challenges they faced throughout their careers.

As a company engaged in electrical installations and the production of electrotechnical equipment, particularly for the nautical sector, Marex Elektrostroj d.o.o. recognizes the importance of diversification and equal opportunities for all in the industry. The conference was a perfect moment to discuss how gender equality can contribute not only to greater inclusivity but also to technological advancement and sustainability in the nautical industry.

One of the most important moments of the conference was the panel on innovations in nautical technology, where the participants highlighted the key role of women in developing new solutions, such as environmentally sustainable ship propulsion systems and the use of artificial intelligence in nautical applications. It was inspiring to hear how many of them overcame challenges and biases to become leading authorities in their fields.

In addition to expert discussions, the conference also provided opportunities for networking and connecting with potential partners, as well as exchanging ideas aimed at enhancing business in line with modern trends. In these discussions, we recognized the importance of collaboration between companies like ours, which deal with electrotechnics and innovations, and women who contribute to the transformation of the industry with their ideas and knowledge.

Conclusions and Future Initiatives
The "Women in Nautica" conference was not only an opportunity to gain new knowledge but also to reassess our own business practices and how we, as a company, can further contribute to gender equality and sustainability in the nautical industry. One of the key conclusions is that women should not only be equal participants in the industry but also be recognized as key drivers of innovation and development. Through further networking, knowledge exchange, and joint projects, I believe that the number of women in leadership positions will increase, both in our company and in the industry as a whole.

Finally, the conference served as an important reminder that inclusion and innovation go hand in hand. Only by creating diverse teams that encompass different perspectives can the nautical industry continue to progress toward a more sustainable and prosperous future. Marex Elektrostroj d.o.o. remains committed to these goals and will continue to support all initiatives that promote equality, sustainability, and innovation in the industry.

We would like to thank Navela d.o.o. from Pula for the excellent organization, and we certainly hope that the "Women in Nautica" conference will become a traditional event that will continue to gather experts and enthusiasts in the nautical field.
